The pole antenna is tuned at Oregon RFID before shipment. Over time you might want to retune for peak performance.
Small changes can be made by accessing the tuning capacitors in the chamber at the top of the pole to access the fine tuning adjustment screw. Tap on the amperage value on the PTLogger screen to display the amperage bar graph. Slowly turn the adjustment screw left and right to get the tallest bar.
If you build a different antenna you will need to completely retune the capacitors. The slim tuners use the convergence method to quickly tune. Contact support@oregonrfid.com for assistance.
