Attached is a drawing showing how a noise canceling antenna works. The antenna can be in other shapes as long as some lobes are would in opposite directions from others. When noise arrives at the antenna, signals cancel each other out due to the opposite windings.
Our noise filter uses the same method to block noise on the power supply. The coil has two windings in opposite directions. The supply is mounted between the power source and the reader.
